Excursion Day

Today was the pre-primary excursion day and we went off to Scitech and then afterwards headed to Kings Park for lunch and a play in the big playground. Must say that we got up excited this morning, no fighting getting ready for school and we were there by the required 8.15. Bella and I were on different buses going but when we got there she was in my group :) was very proud to have her mum there with her today. Had a couple of my favourites in my group too, Ryan, Danielle, Chloe and Jack, they were all really well behaved, with the exception of another little girl who is a real handful. Somehow managed not to lose any of them though. Scitech was loads of fun, and the kids had a ball checking everything out, hope to go back there sometime with just Bella as we could have a great time.

Other news I got the results of my CT scan of my back, I have some bulging between a couple of discs, nothing too bad, but it is causing the pinching and pain that I have been in of late. Having some physio with the lovely Damien (my neighbour) which will hopefully be better, had my first session last night, today shit day and painful but got through it all ok.

Going to work at the workshop tomorrow, so better be a good painfree kind of day ok. Then tomorrow night going to a housewarming party at Jo and Adrian's which should be lots of fun.

37 DAYS TO GO

So Bella was unwell this morning, has been coughing and having a runny nose for a few days, after a very restless night, more coughing and getting up and talking to me at about 3am and not waking up in time for school I decided to take her to the doctors today. Seems she has an ear infection and a bad throat, so she is on some antibiotics for that, hopefully she will be well enough for school tomorrow but will wait and see how she wakes up.

What did I do today, not a great deal, did some bookwork made a few calls, took a few calls. Took Bella to the doctors went to the shops, then went to Kmart shops as we got a cheque in the mail that I needed to bank right away.

This afternoon we had a quiet one together watching a movie, chatting and playing with Ruby.

Andrew is back tomorrow which I am excited about, have really missed him. Forgotten as its been such a long time since he has been away for more than a couple of days. But its all good, the work is done and the prospects after having done this are fantastic for our business.

Tomorrow I MUST order some US$$ the exchange rate is so high that I would be crazy not to. Also must organise the upgrades for business class through Qantas Frequent Flyer, hopefully that will work out okay.

Well not much else to report, need to discuss a couple of travel things with Andrew tomorrow night, and then book them this week. Everything is nearly sorted for the trip but I just need a 2nd opinion on a couple of things.

A sunny wintery day

A sunny wintery kind of day today, lots of clouds in the sky, early morning rain, and then a nice warm and sunny afternoon.

Bella and I slept in this morning, 9.22am I woke up, she was just stirring so we had big cuddles in bed and got up.

Helen rang and organised to come over with Nathaniel, I had time for a quick shower and ding dong they were here. I cooked some yummy pancakes for breakfast, and was amazed at how many the kids could eat, lost count. I do wonder where they can put it all.

After Helen left mum and dad came around for a visit, we did a jigsaw puzzle with Bella, 100 piece Bratz Yasmin one, she is really good with puzzles and has been since she was a baby. Anything under this size is just way to easy for her to do. Had some nice coffee's, Bella had hers she loves the little cup and saucer and her little cappacino.

Then in the afternoon I did some work, watched PS I Love You, what a beautiful movie that was, sad but happy and very enjoyable to watch.

Bella and I finished off the afternoon by taking Ruby for a walk to the park, she rode her scooter and scooted up the road as she likes to call it. We stayed out till the sun came down, then home for a shower and hair wash pj's and dinner.

Andrew rang about 7.40 tonight, will be home again on Tuesday, my goodness that week has gone both fast and slow at the same time. I am looking forward to him being back again.

Well that's about it, time to get Bella to bed, sit down relax and have some tea myself.

Oh I am constantly dreaming Disney at the moment, I keep thinking of new things to do in my head. Need to hear back from the travel agent tomorrow in regards to catching an evening flight from Las Vegas and then doing an overnight stay in Dallas and flying to Orlando early the following morning, I feel that doing it this way will save us at least 1/2 to 3/4 of a day travelling.
Once this is confirmed I can book hotel in Dallas and Orlando for first night, hoping to stay at Animal Kingdom for this night. Only 39 days to go now!!!

Last night thought that I better ring and book Bella, Andrew and I into a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table at Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom. Called about midnight last night and got onto the phone was really nervous and excited at the same time, well turns out that the person I spoke to couldn't help me and said that there were no vacancies for any meals there during our stay, so I then asked about Akershus at Epcot Centre and low and behold the operator hung up on me :(. I was nothing short of devastated.


So rang back and thought okay this time I will introduce myself and say that I am calling from Perth, Western Australia, and that's exactly what I did and would you believe it but I am able to get a booking for dinner at 8pm on the 20th July, was so excited!! Have booked Bella into the Bibbidy Bobbity Bootique for 4pm on the same day for a princess makeover, she is going to be so excited when this happens, I can't wait. The package I chose for her is The Castle: This package offers hair, makeup, nails, dress, shoes, wand, crown, and photo shoot which you receive 4-4x6's & 1-6x8.

I got some more information today on other places to stay and am busy checking out casinos in Vegas so many cool places to choose from.

Mothers Day

It's Mothers Day today, Bella came into our room at about 7am but I was still asleep, so she and Andrew went and had breakie and left me to sleep in for a while, I did wake up a short time later and was waiting for her to come in, she didn't haha!! So I went out to the lounge room where I was greated with a very enthusiastic Happy Mothers Day Mum, can I help you open your present :). I got just what I wanted a nice dressing gown and slippers, and lots of hugs and kisses. Andrew made me a really nice coffee and I had a little breakie too.

We went over to Jo's for lunch which was really nice, saw all the family there and had a lovely lunch and afternoon.

Am so bloody excited am finally under 100kg, first time in 10 years at least I reckon. This is my first mini goal so am absolutely thrilled.

Doctor is really happy with my progress and told me to keep up the good work. Had another fill and am up to 10mm in my band which means its really tight, so am really hoping to be down to 90kg by the time we go on holidays 2nd July.

Funny talking to the doctor the first few times I saw him I was a bit scared of him now we are like old mates joking around, he was giving me lots of tips for my holidays, I think we spoke about that most of the appointment actually. :lol: He told me about this really cool place to eat in Vegas where they have dishes from 80 countries around the world, and then he said it wouldn't be any good for you :rofl: Am booked in again on the 25th June so a few days before we go, he said that he will take some fluid out so that I can enjoy myself a little while I'm away :D

Had a lovely visit from a friend today, had a great time catching up and chatting :)

Mothers Day Afternoon Tea

Bella's Class had their afternoon Tea for all us mums today, was really wonderful and it was loads of fun. The kids were so proud to be spoiling us it was so cute. Mel (Bella's teacher) arranged for her mum and her sister to come in for a couple of the kids whose mums couldn't make it, I thought that it was a lovely thing for her to do.

Bella's face lit up when I entered the room and she came and got me and we headed to the table to make a necklace for me to wear. Then we headed to the table to get a swedish massage, which involved copious amounts of moisturiser being rubbed into my hands and arms and tissue :) Next we made some yummy biscuit s with faces on them, turned out pretty good indeed. After this we headed to the French Manicure station where Bella proceeded to paint my nails a lovely shade of purple, she did a pretty good job with this. Finally it was to the painting station where she did a lovely portrait of me, can you see the resemblance?











Last event of the day we all got a yummy scone that the kids had made during the day, topped with nice jam and fresh cream, yummo what more could us mums ask for, well we got a really nice handmade card, a tiedyed facewasher which was wrapping a candle and handpainted pot :)

Back to School

Oh Monday back to school day today, time for a little peace and quiet, catch up on housework, ironing and a bit of bookwork.

Bella was happy to get up for school this morning, some mornings she just doesn't want to get out of bed, so much like her mother :)

Booked the accommodation for Hawaii on the weekend we are now booked into the Hawaiian Hilton Village in the Rainbow tower, had to have an ocean view and this was pretty much the best value for money that I could find.

I need to book the other accommodation soon, Orlando is booked and we are staying in an apartment for 7 nights, need somewhere for our 1st night, am thinking one of the Disney hotels for that, would be cool.


Am getting excited about Disney World (Oh the little child in me can't wait), I want to try and book a meal at Cinderella's Castle for Bella, and also a visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a princess makeover.

Speaking to Jackie tomorrow and will get her recommendations on somewhere in LA am hoping to for some recommenndations for San Francisco too, and Las Vegas is easy as its cheap as.

Went out to Mez for dinner with Rich and Val on Saturday night, wonderul Meditteranean restaurant in Northbridge, we had all the mezes and boy they were yummy especially the lamb, my god have to go back for that one.


Was Ditty's birthday yesterday and Bella helped me to bake a cake, Ditty came over and we sang Happy Birthday to him, Bella wanted to know when the party was, told her there was no party just us today.

TGIF

Friday today end of another week, end of the month all the financial stuff has been done, the invoices entered, statements sent. Now just waiting for money to come in yet again, got a few slackers to chase up.

Must post the photos from Lachies birthday as I have been told.

I want to know where the week has gone its going to fast for me, Bella was back at school this week, but missed the first 2 days as she had a virus and sounded like a croaky frog, didn't want to send her in and get everyone else sick. She couldn't wait to go back yesterday.

She got up early this morning and came in crying cause Daddy didn't kiss her goodbye before he went to work, hello its 5.30am kiddo he is trying not to wake you or me for that matter (obviously he has failed ) , had a big snuggle in bed and we went back to sleep.

Okay well I better go and pick up the mail and see what goodies the postie has for me
