Australia Day

Happy Australia Day!!!

Well we hosted family and friends today, unfortunately I spent the majority of the day in bed, seems I had a bad tummy bug, Andrew was a definite trooper though and looked after everything. Couldn't cancel the day as we had so much food would have been a waste and we were so looking forward to spending it with everyone. Turns out I slept majority of the day and really didn't hear a thing, got up towards the end and said hello to everyone and then went back to bed again.

The Pickled Fairy

After swimming lessons this morning Bella and I headed down to Freo today with Kellie, had a lovely day and couldn't resist stopping by the Pickled Fairy shop, where we did happen to buy a costume for Bella's birthday. Had a nice lunch, well I had gelato can you call that lunch?

Happy 4th Birthday Zach

Today we were off to the big park in Butler for Zach's 4th Birthday party, was a really nice day for it and the kids had a ball running around, playing on the equipment, playing cricket and eating.

A Day at the Zoo

Today we spent the day at Perth Zoo, we met up with Ryan and Mitchell from school, together with their mums Rochelle and Jodie, little Lauren, Lewis and Cameron. We all had a lovely day, it was very hot but nice in the shade, the kids had a ball and hanging out together was loads of fun. Saw lots of animals and one of the favourites was the Orangutans.

New Fish

Sadly yesterday our big koi committed hari-kari and jumped out of the pond. Today we went to the fish farm and picked out a couple of new ones, their names being Princess Isabella, Cinderella and Ariel.

Leaving on a jet plane

Was a sad day today as Dave and Crystal were heading back to Sydney, we really enjoyed having them here we had such a great week, so many laughs, loads of drinks and heaps of fun. We stopped by mum and dads on the way to the airport and of course the customary photo.

Hillary's Boat Harbour

Nothing better than a nice ice cream in a cone by the sea, Bella certainly thinks so. Today Dave, Crystal, Bella, Sue and I headed down to Hillarys for a look around and a bite to eat. We had a lovely lunch and relaxed walking around the shops.

The Day After

Andrew and I met Rich & Val and Dave and Crystal for a nice breakfast at the hotel this morning, had a lovely chat about the wedding and shared lots of laughs.






The girls and I took all the suits back after lunch and tonight we had a BBQ round at Rich and Val's again catching up with all the family.

Richard and Valerie's Wedding

Well today was the day that saw Richie and Val married, as I last posted we were all very excited and the morning went very quickly for us, Bella and I had a trip to Stacey's to get our hair done, came home and relaxed for a while and before we knew it was time for me to drop Bella around to the house for some pre-wedding photos.

Well I must have looked a trick, all dolled up hair and makeupwise but in shorts and shirt, see I didn't want to get all hot and sweaty waiting for Bella and the photos, so smart thinking on my part don't you think.

Anyway we got there at last after a quick hello to the beautiful bride and her family Bella couldn't wait to get into the bedroom to put on her beautiful dress and wow what a little princess she was all dressed up, Valerie looked absolut

After we had the photos I headed off home to get changed and pick up Sue and Crystal and then it was back to the house to pick up Bella and we lead the way to the Resort.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, everything was gorgeous the setting was spectacular and the celebrant Peter was amazing his words and the way it was conducted was just great. We were all very happy and cheered when Richard and Val were pronounced married, was funny Rich jumped the gun a bit on the kiss the bride thing but was lovely to see him so keen.

Had loads of photos taken and then some taken by me as you can see I did a pretty good job, am really happy with the ones I took. Had a few drinks while waiting for the bride and groom to return from their photographers shoot and then we were heading to the reception.

The reception was lovely and I don't think you can beat Joondalup Resort (after all that is where Andrew and I celebrated our wedding reception too) the whole night was perfect, the food was sensational, the drinks kept flowing, the DJ was awesome and the dancefloor went off Bella I think just about danced with everyone that she could. Everyone that was there had a wonderful night and it was so much fun to share in everything.












The evening finished way to quickly obviously because we were having so much fun, we said goodnight to the bride and groom, but Andrew and I ended up back at the bridal suite for one more drink to celebrate with the happy couple.
