Animal Kingdom Lounge, Downtown Disney

Well we arrived here in Orlando this afternoon, another great flight. Small drama with luggage at the airport and trying to explain our bags are heavy cause we are on an around the world Qantas ticket and we are entitled to 70lbs per bag, and then that's 2 of those each. Lady wanted to charge us $200, anyway got her to check and what do you know we are entitled to it :)

The Animal Lodge is spectacular to say the least, feels like we are in Africa and we have a wonderful view of the Savannah down below, we have seen Giraffes, Zebra Impala, Antelope, Wildebeest so far, with more out there for us to see. The theming of our room is amazing too.

We are on the concierge level which means we have access to "free" food and beverages all day, includes coffee, beer, softdrink etc.

We had a small rest when we arrived and then we went to the Concierge level and had a cuppa and Andrew booked to play golf for tomorrow.

We decided to catch the bus to Downtown Disney and once there we had a wander around and came across the Disney Christmas Shop, a couple purchases were made in there and we ordered Bella's Mickey Mouse ears to be embroided and picked up later in the night.

We had dinner at McDonalds as that's what Bella really wanted, oh well only the 2nd time all trip so not too bad, had a walk around to Pleasure Island (the bar and nightlife area) and then back to Downtown Disney and the Lego superstore, where we got a few pieces for Bella, so cool being able to pick your own bits from the Lego wall.

Then we went to the biggest Disney store in the world, which was fun to look around.
We stopped and had Bella's caractiture done, which was fun, she wanted to be a mermaid so that is what she is in it, she was really good and stayed still for a good 1/2 hour, then it was time to pick up her mouse ears and get back on the bus bound for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Stopped at the Concierge area for a coffee, ended up having a couple of Baileys which went down real well.

There were Zebra's and antelopes outside our window which we watched for a little while and then it was off to bed for all of us.
