Universal Studios Hollywood

Today we headed off on a bus for Universal Studios in Hollywood, got there and looked at each other and the crowd and thought what the hell why don’t we upgrade our tickets for the VIP experience, so that’s what we did. Got to go in the VIP area and was greeted with refreshments and met with our tour group and our guide Amber, there were 16 of us in the group. We had priority access and guaranteed front of line entry on all rides, lunch and refreshments all day.

First off the rank was the Simpsons ride which was loads of fun, then we went to the WaterWorld show and had lunch in the restaurant. Next we went and saw the Shrek 3D show and onto the Studio Tour and had access to some of the restricted areas, we went onto the set for the TV how LIFE, so am looking forward to seeing that and being able to say we were there in the Los Angeles Police Department office. We visited the Desperate Housewives set, and the set from War of the Worlds. We went to the Backdraft show which was pretty cool and then Andrew went on the Jurassic Park ride and then our new friends looked after Bella while we both went on the Mummy ride, was so good not having to queue to go on these rides as the normal wait line was shown at 50 minutes for each ride J.

My favourite ride was the Simpsons, the Mummy was too quick would be great if it went for longer.

Bella and I caught up with Bart and Homer Simpson today too, she was so excited to seem them.

Had enough time at the end for a bit of shopping and then it was back on the bus for the trip home again, took ages on the bus getting home as there were lots of stops at other hotels before ours.

We went and grabbed a quick bite at Carls Jnrs while our washing was going, and then went home and packed ready for tomorrow’s trip.

Got to say that Bella’s new pram was a fantastic purchase, made getting around so much more pleasant for all of us, and so much easier and more fun for her.
