Today we slept in until 9am really needed it, decided not to do too much today, so headed for a walk up the street, and hit Westfield and Bloomingdales, (have to say that it is the cleanest and sparkliest department store I have ever been in)
had a good look around and then had breakfast in the food court downstairs, Andrew ordered breakfast and the man said that we didn’t need to order a serving of pancakes for Bella as his breakfast came with them, what a meal it was enough to feed the 3 of us, bargain or what!!
Well last night Andrew and Ash got talking about golf as you do, and Ash recommended a golf store which was right down the road, so that’s where we headed next, 2 hours later we were finished, and new golf clubs, shoes and balls were purchased, and we left them there while we headed to have a look at some more stores. Next we headed to Macy’s I really liked that too (and look forward to shopping there again), got some Apple Bottom Jeans for Bella, as well as some other designer gear, which all happened to be 40% off, ever the bargain hunter. We checked out a few smaller stores and then headed back to the golf shop, picked up our purchases and got a taxi back to our hotel.
There was a message from Nat that her class was cancelled so we arranged for her to pick us up earlier, off we headed went through China Town and Little Italy and headed up the road and stopped by the church where Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimagio were married next it was to Coit Tower (something funny about a big Coit :) )and we had a look around and back in the car and off to the park we went. Bella and Sameera had a lovely time swinging and running around. We proceeded to go across the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped and a Vista and got out and took some photos. Next on the agenda was dinner a wonderful Mexican Restaurant in Sausalito, the name of which escapes me at the moment, the Margeritas were lovely as was the meal.
Church where Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio were married.
After dinner we took a drive through Haight Ashbury and checked out the home of the hippy movement and then to Castro the “Gay” area of town. We decided to finish off the evening with a coffee and Cannoli, great way to end another wonderful day in San Francisco.

A big thanks to Natalie, Ash and Sameera for making our stay in
San Francisco so fabulous and so much fun.
Bella's treats from Nat :)

This is the part where I should mention that we were staying on 7th Street which is one block over from 6th Street which is well known in San Francisco for drugs and its population of homeless people. Crossing this was quite the challenge, but we did it, and never once did we get approached by any of them. It was definitely an eye opener to say the least. Can laugh about it now that we are not there, our hotel was quite okay though very clean and comfortable and secure but just not in a good area.
