BA (as in British Airways) You Suck!!!

Was hard enough to leave Toronto and Sue and Simon without getting to the check in desk at 3.30pm and being told that your booking has been cancelled, ummm like hello WTF is going on here? and who cancelled us?

Let's just say it was a very stressful couple of hours between being told this and that the flight was in fact full and there were in fact no seats for us at all and the best that they could do was to put us on standby and come back at 5.30pm, hour before flight departs to find out if in fact we had managed to get some spare seats.

So off we trotted to the dodgy waiting area, hard uncomfortable seats which became our home for the next 2 hours, in between calls to the Flight Centre emergency number (trying to find out what the hell was going on and what happened to our booking, they were unable to help us with anything other than to say that when we changed our flights a couple of months ago, BA were notified and original booking had been updated).

Anyway we went back with all our luggage at 5.30 and oh surprise we had managed to be allocated seats, Andrew in row 16 and Bella and I in row 22, so not too bad, so off we race yet again to get through customs, where once again one bag was stopped to be swabbed, this was Bella's turn :) nothing of any significance in her bag, back to racing and the plane was starting to load, so joined the queue and onboard we were. Asked the flight attendant when we got on the chances of someone swapping with Andrew so we could be together, so he asked the guy next to Bella who wasn't keen on Andrews seat. Good on Andrew though as he was chatting to the girl next to him who was happy to give the other guy the aisle seat, so it all worked out ok in the end.

Still waiting to find out exactly what happened, but have spoken to our travel agent who said that BA were the ones to cancel our flight, will definitely be chasing this up when we get home.

All was fine once we were off and away though luckily :)

Oh dear what a mess for you all. We also will never fly BA ever again with an experience we had with them on the way back from Bangkok - they are disgraceful at best. Stick it up them Jo when you get home - but you will be wasting your time they just do not care at all. Your holiday of a lifetime is certainly living up to all expectations that is for sure - looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of Tania, Reg & Joan and the area where they live. Love to all.
