Statue of Liberty

Today was a slow starter, we slept in a bit and had breakfast in the Executive Club which was pretty good. We headed down the road to get on the Bus, got on the bus and headed down towards Battery Park, where we were catching the Ferry to Liberty Island. Well the bus stopped as it had a fault somewhere in SOHO and we got off and decided to walk, well it was quite some walk but we really enjoyed walking down Broadway. Stopped and looked at a few things along the way, the Trinity Church, Wall Street, the NYSE. We stopped and had lunch at the Cafe at Battery Park which was lovely, we sat there in the outdoors overlooking the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

We caught the ferry over to Liberty Island and had a great time over there, we didn't have tickets to go into the Statue of Liberty but was really nice just to be there up nice and close. The view back to the city was great and also over to Ellis Island, the ferry stopped there on the way back to Battery Park.

We got back on the us to head to home, unfortunately there were no seats upstairs this time, and Bella was very disappointed but we managed to get up there 1/2 way back to Times Square, apart from the European guy that tried to push me out of the way as Bella went up the stairs, telling me I was pushing in, told him to get stuffed as you do, and that he was the one pushing in, anyway the bus man sorted him out and told him off for pushing me and upsetting Bella. So apart from that drama it was a great day.

Tonight we headed off to the movies to see Wall.E which we all enjoyed, Bella is now tucked up fast asleep in bed.
